The lodge is located on the Estero Salado near Calovébora in Veraguas Province, between private rainforest, river and the Caribbean Sea. It sits within around 300 hectares of private rainforest and cannot be reached directly by road.

The route leads via Santiago, Santa Fe and Calovébora. We arrange the transfer, meeting point and departure time individually. Depending on your arrival time in Panama City, an overnight stop may be advisable.

The regular route from Calovébora takes you by boat across the Caribbean Sea and along the Estero Salado to our private jetty. Arrival by helicopter is also possible on request. We will discuss the arrangements, availability and costs with you personally.

First send us a non-binding enquiry with your travel dates, number of guests and preferences. We check the casa, activities and transfer and send you a tailored proposal. Your stay is reserved only after our express booking confirmation.

Five casas sit on the hillside and two spacious apartments are directly by the river. Tell us your guest count, preferred location and special requirements, and we will recommend a suitable available accommodation.

Options include guided rainforest hikes, waterfall and Guázaro routes, boat trips, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddling, fishing and trips to natural beaches. On request, we also arrange wildlife watching, guided reviews of camera-trap recordings, night excursions and boat trips to Escudo de Veraguas. We confirm duration, difficulty and feasibility for your group, weather and water conditions.

You can visit Rainforest Lodge all year round. We would also be happy to discuss with you personally which time best suits your planned activities.

We recommend light, comfortable clothing, rain and sun protection, insect repellent, sturdy closed shoes and personal medication. Rubber boots are available to guests for many activities. You will receive a detailed packing recommendation before your trip.

The lodge has a reliable electricity supply around the clock. Internet access and mobile reception may vary due to the remote location. We will confirm the current connectivity options before you book. An uninterrupted internet or mobile connection cannot be guaranteed.

Rainforest Lodge Panama has its own restaurant and bar. Breakfast is included throughout your stay. Vegetarian dishes, meat and fish are available, and we prepare packed lunches for excursions. Depending on the weather, barbecues take place on the beach or at the lodge. Please tell us about allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences in your enquiry so we can confirm the options personally.

The journey includes overland travel, beach and boat transfer. Please tell us your specific mobility or support needs before booking. We assess the journey, jetty, casa and activities individually and confirm only what can be arranged safely.
